I have been potty training Zach since January, and at first it was going really well. But lately, it seems like he’s sort of relapsed to just peeing in his diaper, which isn’t such a great thing. When I first started potty training him, he was so afraid of the toilet so I decided to look into a potty for him instead. I stumbled upon the Pourty and thought it would be perfect for him.
The pourty is a potty that pours our from the back. When emptying out a conventional potty, you have to pour the contents over the area where the child sits and usually, pee dribbles down the sides and can go everywhere. I don’t need extra messes in my life, so I was excited to learn that the pourty solves this problem with the duct out of the back. The pourty is a one-piece potty made from sturdy plastic so it’s easier to clean and more comfortable than other potties.
The large, wide sitting area makes it easy for boys and girls to use the pourty and the two sides of the back side of the pourty offers more support if your child leans back, as well. Zach was vey eager to try the pourty when we first got it and was very comfortable sitting on the potty. I noticed that when he finished, there was never any red rings around his bottom, which was good. The pourty also features a splash guard on the front to prevent any unwanted spillage especially for boys.
The pourty is easy to use and clean. When Zach is done, I just take the pourty and empty it out into the toilet from the back. Then I rinse it out and place it back on the floor so Zach can use it when he wants. Zach used the pourty for about a month before he decided he wanted to try to big-kid toilet, but he still loves using it occassionally. Overall, I love the easy-of-use of the pourty and I’m a huge fan that it’s all one piece. If you’re potty training your little one then I suggest you give the pourty a try.
The pourty comes in four colors: blue, pink, purple, and white.
