I don’t know about you, but I always seem to have more spare change in my wallet as the week progresses. I run a lot of errands during the week and I almost never use exact change, so that usually turns into me having a ton of it left over in my wallet. What do you do with your spare change?
At the end of each day, I put all of my spare change into a piggy bank. Though it’s not much of a piggy bank, more like a jar with a slit on the lid… it works just fine. As the week goes by, the jar gets heavier and heavier. At first, I didn’t think it would make much of a difference but when you’re running low on gas and cash, then you’ve hit the jackpot!
At the end of the month I like to head over to the Coinstar kiosk at my local grocery store to cash in all of the left over change I’ve accumulated. Each month, I’m so surprised by how much the coins turned out to be. I can easily pay for another week of gas, extra groceries, or splurge on something else.
Using the Coinstar kiosks have gotten even more fun! Now you can turn your coins into tunes! Bring your coins to the Coinstar kiosk, select and iTunes e-gift card, pour your coins in and get your eCertificate for an iTunes card. Super easy! Plus, there are no fees on the transaction at all.
Not an iTunes fan? No worries, you can get great eGift cards from favorites like Nike, GAP, iTunes, Toys “R” Us, Sears, Old Navy, Lowe’s, and more!
Pretty cool huh? Find a Coinstar Kiosk near you and drag that gallon of pennies down there right now. You’d be surprised how much they’re worth.
